I believe we should worship together on Sunday.the LORD'S DAY - SATURDAY or SUNDAY ??Catholics and most Protestant denominations have come up with quite a delusion. They have for years promoted it far and wide - that Sunday, the day in 27 AD that Jesus resurrected, is the Lord's Day. They say the Lord's Day is the new correct day to worship the weekly sabbath since Jesus' resurrection. Not according to the Bible. several days before the Resurrection was the first full MOON of the spring, making it the 2nd of ten annual sabbaths. But in other Gregorian calendar years the YEARLY sabbath can fall on a different day of the week since we no longer use 30 day lunar months. Jesus' resurrection in 27 AD happened on a Sunday, the first day of the work week. In other Gregorian years, several days after the first full MOON in the spring, EASTER Sunday, in the middle of the Week of Unleavened Bread. Catholic leaders finally decreed always Sunday ONLY each year for Resurrection worship. But Sunday is a work day, not a special day, not the Lord's Day. In the New Testament, baptism, not Sunday, symbolizes the Resurrection (Romans 6:4-11). There is overwhelming evidence in the Bible that the Lord's Day is Saturday. We are to rest and communicate with God on this 7th day Saturday, celebrating according to the 4th Commandment (Catholic 3rd Commandment). Where is any evidence from the scriptures that Sunday is the Lord's Day? There isn't any! Revelation 1 verse 10 is no help, it doesn't name the day John was in the Spirit. Nor is there is any statement in the Bible that the weekly sabbath is strictly Jewish. After the Resurrection, the new church, not just the Jews but also the gentiles, still kept the Saturday sabbath, as evidenced in New Testament chapters, and in Acts. In Mark 2:27 we learn "The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath". Man includes all mankind, not just the Jews. Leaders in the Catholic Church changed the day to Sunday in the 2nd then again in the 4th century, with the Protestants meekly following their lead. There is nothing in the Bible saying to switch the Lord's Day Saturday over to Sunday after the resurrection. At least the Scandinavians call Saturday Lordag, and Sunday Sondag. In Spanish and Italian, Saturday is Sabado (sabbath). So delight in the Lord's Day - Saturday. God wants to be remembered once a week for … creating in one week the earth, stars, oceans, trees, animals and humans, and … leading for one week His people out of bondage after 490 years in God led over a million people out of slavery in a one week-long Exodus from Passover Saturday dawn to an Entrance Day Saturday dawn celebration at the edge of the desert. They were miraculously guided across a parted Remembering His creation and mighty leadership every 7 days is one of the Ten Commandments, a divine Rule of Law!
